Who we are

The Jaycees, also called the Junior Chamber, are for people aged 18 to 40. We run charity projects, make friends doing them, and pick up business skills along the way.

The idea hasn’t changed since 1920. You learn to lead by doing real work for your own community.

In Hollywood, members plan and run every project themselves, for families across Greater Hollywood.

You may know us as

  • Hollywood Jaycees
  • JCI Hollywood
  • Greater Hollywood Jaycees

It’s one organization, whichever name you heard. All of it falls under Hollywood Jaycees Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

What we actually do

  • 80years in Hollywood, in 2024
  • 50+families got Thanksgiving baskets in 2025
  • 112volunteers at the 2017 Back to School spree
  • 180guests at the 2014 Special Needs holiday dance

Thanksgiving Basket Project

Families who need help get a Thanksgiving basket. Donate food or money, or volunteer on the day.

Every November since 2009. In 2025, 25 volunteers packed and delivered baskets for over 50 families.

Back to School Shopping Spree

Hollywood kids get a shopping spree before the school year starts. Families sign up when the form opens.

In 2017, 112 volunteers took 106 kids shopping, plus 4 more kids and 6 teachers.

Built by members

Jaycees built Jaycee Hall on Hollywood Boulevard, and it turned 50 in 2016.

Renting it out pays for the projects and the upkeep, so every party held there helps the next community project.
